On A Rainy Friday.

Just sitting here listening to B.H. rant about marriage.

Today, some CHEV staff will be coming in that I haven't seen in a while. To be honest, I'm excited about this. Usually, I'm here when they're not, and they're here when I'm not. But then, you get those rare days when everyone is in the same building at the same time. It's going to be a fun afternoon!

Don't forget to catch Suburban Base tonight, featuring great electronic music. It gets underway at 8:30pm ET.

Thunder And Lightning

The Markham area was hit by a nasty storm on Monday. Many areas of the town were out of power for a number of hours. CHEV was one of the many places knocked out of commission. Therefore, we were unable to broadcast for the majority of Monday night. However, we were able to fix the situation and returned to the airwaves Tuesday morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Hot Docs

Geoff Roberts will be covering Toronto's Hot Docs Festival.

Unfortunately, due to his commitment to the festival, he will be unable to put together a show for the next couple of weeks. Therefore, Current Attractions will be taking a two-week break.

Geoff will return to the air on May 6.

AAAAAAHHHHHH! We Went Off Air

Gosh darn!

We just got hit by a power failure.

There's been construction near our building and on a couple of occasions, certain wires are hit when they shouldn't be hit.

CHEV Radio apologizes for the inconvenience.

The Wonders Of Technology

Sometimes, technology throws you a curve ball.

The website we use to upload podcasts, wasn't working today. Therefore, the two segments we wanted to put up on the podcasting site, will be delayed. I'm crossing my fingers on this one.

In case both segments become MIA, check out Dan's blog (linked on the right side of this page), for today's "What's The Deeley-O."

Meanwhile, here are my predictions for the first round of the NBA Playoffs (the other segment):

Detroit over Orlando in 5
Cleavland over Washington in 6
Toronto over New Jersey in 7
Chicago over Miami in 7

Dallas over Golden State in 5
Phoenix over LA Lakers in 6
San Antonio over Denver in 6
Utah over Houston in 7

*Dan, if you're reading this, post your predictions!*

Another week at the office

Dan here...I know, it's a shock to everyone.

Having an Eric-less Friday and Monday has definitely been strange. Since he had passover last week, he thought he should have his own version of Easter and celebrate on his own time. Nonetheless I am glad he will be back tomorrow for BTN at 9AM.

Reminder: The Champagne Room is now on at 8:30-10:30, so don't miss out. But remember that yours truly will be holding it down beginning at 9AM tomorrow morning. Check it out at www.chevradioam.com.

I have not quite sorted out the sports topics for tomorrow but I can certainly say I know Eric's first topic tomorrow morning: The tragedy at Virginia Tech. Such a sad, sad story, and our hearts at CHEV Radio goes out to the victims and their families.

Another reminder: Tell your family just how much you love them the next time you see them. It is always nice to say and even nicer to hear. Have a great night.

We're On Facebook

Despite Dan's constant denial of being a Facebook addict, CHEV has launched a group, on the popular site.

Just head to www.Facebook.com and search for CHEV Radio.

In the last 12 hours, 40 people have joined the group; so, what are you waiting for ;-)

Call me crazy, but I think Dan is getting addicted to Facebook. As a fellow member, I can see the signs ;-)
