About the host

Yoko Sanchez is a sexy, saucy, stand up comedian, radio personality, actress and writer.
She made her way onto the local comedy scene in 2005 telling her tales of living a sexually liberated lifestyle as a burlesque entertainer and naked sports officianodo. Her comedy appearances, include, Yuk Yuks, Xm Satelite radio's-Laugh Attack, McVeighs' Stand up Throw Down Comedy Competition, Betty's Corktown Comedy, The Comedy Clinic, Healey's Comedy Spot, Wiseguys Comedy on the Danforth, Kelevisionradio Network and The Dave and Chuck show. In 2006 she found her way onto the radio waves as a talk radio co-host for a community radio station. After conducting interviews for Canadian Music Week she decided to leave the radio station to do her own thing. She started writing Interviews autonomously for her blog,Yoko Sanchez Speaks, which gets posted on the popular publicbroadcasting.ca. website. Now after a brief respit, she comes back onto the air waves hosting her own radio show called, The Yoko Sanchez Radio Show on Chevradioam.com. Children's Festival Comes To Markham

The Milliken Children's Festival is this weekend.
Now in its ninth year, the festival is York Region’s largest children’s event, featuring entertainment, crafts and activities for everyone from two to 12.
It’s free and includes children’s performers, face-painting and balloon creatures, hair braiding and henna art.
The festival runs Saturday at the Milliken Mills Community Centre, 7600 Kennedy Rd. from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Car Rally In Markham

The Main Street Markham Auto Classic Car Rally
in Support of the T&T Charity Foundation.

September 9th
$50.00 Tax Deductible Entry Fee

This event is a five stage car rally for show participants and other car enthusiasts who wish to participate in a fun, light hearted 90 minute "Sunday Morning Drive" in the local Markham Rd. area.

The event is a combination of some of the more fun aspects of car rallying and includes a Navigational Poker Run with a Scavenger Hunt theme and a few extra surprises to keep the event light hearted and fun for all participants.

Registration for the Rally Component is $50.00 per vehicle with all fees collected going directly to the Thomas & Tallis Charity Foundation supporting programs for youth sport and education in Markham.

Space is limited to the first 40 vehicles, car show participants will depart first and have a reserved location for there vehicle on main street at the completion of the rally.

Prizes will be awarded on the Main Stage to the car (Driver and Navigator) in three categories for the most points collected based on each leg of the course.

The categories are Over All Winner, Vintage Car (Most Points in Class) and an open class Poker Run.
