Walk for Justice for murder victims

On September 9th at 2pm B. Money AKA Money Man will be performing and participating in the annual Walk for justice for murder victims at Toronto’s Queens Park.

Although this event is in its infancy The Walk for justice has received extensive media coverage from several of the nations must popular and respected broadcast networks.

CHEV Radio's B. Money is uncomfortably familiar with the aftermath of murder and the overwhelming grief that is accompanied by senseless homicides as he has also lost loved ones due to violence. The Green Lable Inc. CEO/Recording Artist has volunteered to be the musical face of the youth.

Motivation, may in fact be the key to success, by encouraging, empowering and educating “at risk” youth through music workshops held at his Toronto based recording facility B. Money is one of the many local musicians that is valiantly attempting to reach out to the community.
This walk is open to the general public and to anyone who has suffered the lost a loved one due to violent crimes. “I formally invite my fellow Torontonians to come out and march for peace, walk for justice and lobby for change”

Author of "SWAP" on BTN

Today Dan had a special guest on "Bring The Noise" this morning. Sam Moffie, author of SWAP, came on the program to talk about the book (www.samsstories.com). The novel is based loosely on the story of two baseball players who swapped wives back in the 1970's. These days people get away with a lot of things and that would seem rather odd in this day in age. So just imagine what people were thinking back in the 1970's! Hopefully Sam's book someday turns into a film - only because Dan asked to be in it. Keep dreaming kid. Check the podcast site for the interview.

We're getting to the middle of the week which means we look forward to The Gonzo Report with B.H. Ramsay with his guest Cheryl from Britgirl Productions (www.myspace.com/britgirlproductions) on Wednesday at Noon EST. Gonzo will also be on Friday at Noon with The Complainers checking in at 1PM. Matt Chin, Ricky Thompson, Brown Guy and the quiet girl will be back this Thurday at 9PM with more of "My Radio Show". We will concede that this is the funniest and creative show on CHEV Radio and they effectively make male genitals seem interesting. And Suburban Bass is back in the house with more house, electronic underground and more Friday night at 9PM. They use vinyl which makes them very special. Serious!

Then tune in at 8PM on Sunday with The Skinny B Show. Don't want to jinx this but this week may be the week they have a Hollywood producer checking in on the program. We'll keep you posted. They do, however, have a very high-profile listener to their show named Don Imus. The name is Don Imus, the e-mail address has Don Imus, so we're led to believe that this is really Don Imus. Besides, if you make up an e-mail address with someone else's name then you are a total loser.

Make sure you lock in to hear all those shows and more at: www.chevradioam.com.

Loaded shows

Dan here...

Checking in after a hectic Thursday show - a typical Thursday to me - and I've been very excited this morning about what's coming up over the next day or so.

Tonight's "The Ten" will be a re-broadcast as the boys are on vacation, but at 9PM EST we have "My Radio Show" with Matt Chin and Ricky Thompson. Both have a web talk show that you can access at www.myshowscrazy.com.

Tomorrow after BTN (9AM-Noon EST) we have "The Gonzo Report" with B.H. Ramsay at 12, followed by "The Complainers" at 1PM. If you have something to complain about this would be the place to do it.

Tomorrow night a 9PM, Suburban Bass checks in with their mixers and vinyl to bring you the best underground electronic music they have to offer.

Website traffic gets awfully hectic at this time of the week so we hope you can join us right here: www.chevradioam.com.

Where's Eric Rosenhek?

Dan here...

We have established a "Where's Eric Rosenhek Fund", where we are looking for our dear friend and collegue, Eric Rosenhek. Eric, who has been missing since Friday, has yet to appear on "BTN" this week. Any information on his whereabouts please let us know and your donations to the fund would be greatly appreciated.

Onto more important issues, Suburban Bass will be back on tomorrow night from 9-11PM while BTN is back on tomorrow morning from 9AM-noon followed by The Gonzo Report with B.H. Ramsey from noon-1PM.

Stay tuned for more CHEV Radio information as we are looking to boost the talent bank. www.chevradioam.com is the place to go. Cheers.

Where's Eric?

Dan here...

Eric was M.I.A. today so I ran BTN solo. We pulled off "What's The Deeley-O" on podcast as it was recorded in it's original form (http://chevpodcasts.blogspot.com/). If it isn't up there yet it will be very soon. We got it recorded but the guy handling the file, which would be yours truly, is still learning the ropes.

The show went well. I gave the NBA East Conference a little whipping today by calling it "The Developmental League" as I sat and watched another horrendous Cleveland v. New Jersey game. The quicker that series can end the better. Also, did anyone else see the game-winning run in the San Diego v. Cincinnati game? Bronson Arroyo's ball 4 should have been strike 3. How was that not called? Total bogus.

Ah what am I doing? The show is over so I should relax and enjoy the downtime but I can't. The weekend is fast approaching and tomorrow "Suburban Bass" checks in at 9PM for your underground and electronic music. These guys kick ass, believe me.

"The Ten" will be on a 3-week hiatus so they will have replayed shows from 8-9 PM only on www.chevradioam.com.

Lastly, want to thank the Fox Sports bloggers who have constantly brought their A-Game every Thursday for my show. They are absolutely top-notch and I appreciate all the support. Check out their blogs because they are very entertaining: http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/.

Cheers everyone.
